Term & Conditions

We currently are only accepting items in-house for appraisal and sale. We accept mid to high-end women’s clothing and accessories (including bags, jewellery, etc.) in excellent condition with no signs of wear. Some high street brands are also accepted. Please refer to our website for a list of preferred brands. Items must be freshly laundered and in excellent condition before collection. MOOT reserves the right to accept or reject any items at our discretion, based on business needs.
You as a consignor, will be charged a commission fee of 30% of the final sale price of each item. Handbags that sell for above €1,000 will be subject to a commission fee of 20%. These percentages may change in the future at our discretion. For designer items, you must provide authenticity documentation (purchase receipt or certificate). If you cannot provide these documents, we offer authentication services for bags at a fee of €25 per item for items sold in house and €40 for bags not sold in house. You may negotiate a higher percentage for high-value items but this must be arranged before the item is received.
Payments will be made to your provided bank account by the end of the month following the sale, subject to any outstanding return requests from online purchasers. Please notify us of any changes to your account details.
We determine listing prices based on extensive market research and may adjust prices or apply discounts at any time. Items are generally listed for twelve weeks, though this period may be extended or shortened at our discretion. We reserve the right to include selected items in our advertising materials and sell items online,  in our shop and at events. All items priced when they are appraised and are agreed with you prior to leaving.
Once you consign items with us, our intention is to sell them. We invest significant time in researching prices, styling, photographing, liaising with customers, and processing orders. Therefore, items listed with us cannot be simultaneously listed on other platforms such as Farfetch, Vestiaire, Depop, Donedeal, Adverts, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace, etc. A fee of 15% will be charged for listed items you request to have returned before the end of their sale cycle – which is 12 weeks. Payment is either taken off your commission you have made on other items sold or is paid directly to MOOT prior to the collection of said items.
You will be notified of unsold items and given two weeks after notification to collect. After two weeks the items will be donated or re-purposed if uncollected.
Damage Disclaimer: MOOT does not accept liability for any items that may become damaged during the time that they are advertised for sale or held for collection within the shop.
We reserve the right to change our fee structure in the future, with changes applying to all future sales, regardless of when the item was processed. We may revise and update these terms at any time without notice. It is the consignor’s responsibility to check for updates on our website.
